Steps Towards Commitment
You're in a relationship with someone and you begin questioning, what are you guys, where do you stand with them? You want to know if this is building into a committed relationship so that you can begin focusing all your attention to them and no one else, or you want to know because you feel like you're on a different page, well here is some help. Here are the steps of becoming a couple:
Allure: You meet based off of this and will casually date which will entail flirting, non-committal sex and many other things.
Chemistry: You will begin dating once you see that you both share things in common and find each other interesting enough to take things further.

Commitment: They find safety and comfort in each other's arms. Ideally, they enjoy time together and physical intimacy, support each other's personal interests, and develop mutual goals. They also commit to a life together; which often, but not always, means marriage.
There are struggles in relationships in which many times people are on two different pages. The only way this can be fixed is with time to see if you both will drift back together, and if not it just wasn't meant to be. If you can make it through and work things out and get back on the same path this should make your bond as a couple strong.
