3 Ways to Request for Recommendations

By James Michael Lim

1. Ask referrals from your existing client base

Take advantage of your existing customer base and inquire for recommendations. See to it that the first person that you ask is among your finest clients. Satisfied customers are already raving fans and they're outraging with people that they believe could already benefit from your service. However, don't await them to inform you, however take the initiative to inquire to share 2-3 people that they think could benefit from your service. They will be outraging with excitement sharing the leads with you. They could refer you to prospective customers that will be ideal for the business and fit your perfect customer profile.

For example, state "I have taken a lot satisfaction teaming up with you and having you as my client. I would truly like to have the chance to return the favor and offer service to your friend and family. Perhaps you can set a consultation for us so we can meet? That would be really valued.".

Or you can simply ask for the names and contact information and contact them yourself, but open the discussion with" (the name of your customer) referred me and thought you would have the ability to take advantage of our services".

Always remember to send a thank you gift as a token of gratitude to your client. This will make them happy and may even result in more recommendations in the future.

2. Develop alliances with small businesses that accommodate the same audience.

Build associations with other companies in your community that accommodate the same market as yours. Relax; we're not talking about befriending competition. What you're going to do is technique companies that provide different products or services than yours.

For instance: If you're selling health and health products, the businesses that you're likely to construct an alliance with are: the regional health clubs, sports organizations, and alternative medical practitioners.

Present your items to these organizations and ask if they can refer you to their clients. Lay the advantages and benefits that the collaboration can bring to them like telling them that you'll also refer their businesses to your clients. Doing so could quickly gain their approval because it's going to be a win-win situation for both parties.

3. Ask recommendations from neighborhood churches and charities.

Exactly how? These establishments have something in common is they are both non-profit companies. They have to raise money to sustain their operations and the programs they provide. Capitalize on this chance to obtain referrals.

Just acquire a list of contributors that already offered contributions to these establishments. Then try to find the right people that you need to approach and propose that for each recommendation that is sent out from their company to your company, you will take a percentage of the sales and contribute it to them. In return, these organizations will agree to advertise your company; an additional win-win situation for both celebrations.
